1. Overview of Services
Rodeo Results provides software tools for Western sports events, including live scoring, performance tracking, online registration, payment processing, horse registration, and event management tools for competitors, producers, spectators, and other constituents.
2. Definitions
User: Any individual or entity who accesses or uses the Rodeo Results Platform, including event producers, competitors, spectators, staff, administrators, and all other constituents.
Event Producer (also referred to as “Event Organizer”): An individual, entity, or organization that creates, manages, or lists a Western sports event using the Rodeo Results Platform. Event Producers are solely responsible for the setup, administration, rules, communication, execution, refunds, and participant management for the events they manage.
Platform: The Rodeo Results software, including all websites, mobile applications, APIs, and services provided by Rodeo Results, LLC.
Content: All data, text, images, media, or other information submitted, uploaded, or displayed on the Platform by Users, including horse profiles, results, comments, and event listings.
Horse Data: All performance metrics, registration details, earnings history, and event results associated with individual horses submitted or generated through the Platform.
Account: A User profile created through the Platform that enables access to services such as event management, entries, results, and payment features.
Third-Party Services: External services integrated with the Platform (e.g., Stripe, AWS, analytics providers) over which Rodeo Results has no control or responsibility.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Account Registration & Responsibility
To access certain features, you must create an Account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Be fully responsible for all activity under your Account.
You are solely responsible for any misuse resulting from unauthorized access.
5. Data Collection & Usage
We collect and store data related to:
- Rider and horse performance
- Event participation
- User interactions and behavior
By submitting or entering any data into the Platform, you grant Rodeo Results a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, display, analyze, use, and publish this data within the Platform and in connection with any commercial use, including third-party licensing.
Rodeo Results retains full ownership of all data submitted or collected through the Platform, including Horse Data, and reserves the right to use or retain this data indefinitely. This applies even if your Account is deactivated.
6. Personal Data & Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it. If you request Account deactivation, personally identifiable information may be removed from public display, but we will retain data that is tied to Horse Data, event results, and historical records.
7. Accuracy of Data & Risk Acknowledgment
While we strive to provide accurate and reliable information, Rodeo Results does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information displayed.
All use of the data is at your own risk, including, but not limited to, decisions about event entries, purchasing horses, or performance evaluations.
We are not responsible for:
- Incorrect listings
- Outdated information
- User-submitted errors
8. Payments & Refunds
Some features of the Platform require payment of fees or subscriptions. By using those features, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees associated with your Account.
- Acknowledge that fees are non-refundable unless required by law or explicitly stated in our Refund Policy.
All payments are processed through Third-Party Services such as Stripe Connect. Rodeo Results is not responsible for payment errors, processing delays, or charge disputes.
Refunds are solely the responsibility of the Event Producer unless otherwise stated.
9. Events and Liability
Rodeo Results does not produce or manage the events listed on the Platform. Each Event Producer is solely responsible for:
- Event scheduling, rules, and administration
- Accuracy of event listings
- Refunds and participant communication
- Safety, logistics, and conduct at the event
Rodeo Results is not liable for any injuries, damages, disputes, or financial losses that occur at or because of an event using our software.
10. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, branding, platform design, and software are owned by Rodeo Results. You may not copy, distribute, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit any aspect of the Platform without express written consent.
11. Advertising and Monetization
Rodeo Results reserves the right to:
- Sell advertising placements on any part of the Platform (including during events)
- Use data for commercial analysis, resale, or marketing purposes
- Monetize traffic, data, and performance information
We do not share advertising revenue with Event Producers or Users unless a separate agreement exists.
12. Platform Behavior & Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Impersonate other Users
- Post fraudulent or misleading information
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems
- Reverse-engineer or replicate our ranking or scoring systems
- Create derivative works from our data
We reserve the right to remove any Content, restrict access, or terminate Accounts at our sole discretion.
13. Third-Party Services
Our Platform uses Third-Party Services such as Stripe, AWS, analytics platforms, and social media tools. We are not liable for any failures, bugs, or data breaches caused by these third parties.
Use of their services is governed by their own terms and conditions.
14. Security and Data Breach
We implement commercially reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the complete protection of your data.
In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected Users as required by applicable law but are not liable for damages resulting from a breach.
15. Disputes Between Users
Rodeo Results is not obligated to mediate or resolve disputes between Users, including disputes involving performance, payments, rankings, or event issues involving Event Producers.
We reserve the right to suspend Accounts or take action if disputes disrupt the Platform.
16. Deactivation & Data Retention
You may request deactivation of your Account at any time. Upon deactivation:
- Your Account will be closed.
- Your personal data will be removed from public view.
- Your Horse Data, event results, and historical records will be retained for archival and analytical purposes.
We reserve the right to retain all non-personal data indefinitely.
17. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify Users where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
